In March, the studio will break ground on Cinema South Studios, located north of Fayette County. The 60-acre studio is fully equipped, featuring 11 stages for sound and a back-lot, rentals for grip and lighting, and wardrobe and props. The production center will also include transport services and an office building that will accommodate a theater and post-production. Williams is moving quickly on the studio’s construction and hopes to be fully operational in 2024.
“The need for soundstages is growing all over the world, and the owner isn’t exactly like us or even one who is an African American woman,” Guidry said. Guidry stated in an official release, as reported by AJC. “When I decide to put my money into something, I consider the necessity of the business and the owner. The investment into Tammy Williams and her team of experts convinced me to consider purchasing the land in Fayetteville, GA.”
