Jennifer S. David to chair the National Institute for Medical and Organic Executive council.
Jennifer S. David has been decided Academic Council chair of the National Institute for Medical and Organic Executive (AIMBE), Virginia Technology, released Friday.
Located in Washington, D.C., AIMBE is just a nonprofit composed of leaders in the medical and natural engineering areas and advocates for the fields’ worth.
David may be the department mind of Virginia Tech’s Biomedical Executive and Technicians Department. As chair of the Academic Council, David will lead discussions and actions and work to improve visibility for the medical and natural engineering fields.
David was decided to attend AIMBE’s University of Men in 2004 for her progress of a method of articular cartilage — that which covers bones such as the hip, leg, and elbow — biomechanics that included modeling and in vivo (in a full-time income organism) repair.
Before planning to attend Virginia Technology in 2019, David light-emitting diode the Orthopaedic Research Laboratory at Virginia Commonwealth University for more than 25 years. Wayne’s study in musculoskeletal biomechanics centered on experimental, computational, and theoretical versions of the effects of harm and the potency of harm treatment strategies and surgeries.
At VCU, David showed classes on biomechanics, finite element evaluation, and different issues in physiology and anatomy. At Virginia Technology, she teaches an ethics and skilled progress class for biomedical engineering scholar pupils and a computer-aided style class for undergraduates.
In 2007, David was recognized being a National Culture of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) fellow. She acquired the ASME H.R. Lissner Medal in 2019. In 2024, David was a decided fellow of the Orthopaedic Research Society.
David finished from Virginia Technology with a bachelor’s degree in engineering technology and aspects in 1983. She attained a master’s in biomedical engineering from Tulane University in 1984 and a doctorate in bioengineering from the University of California San Diego in 1990.
