Winners 2024 China-Scotland Business Awards Announced.

Sunamp, Glencairn Crystal, and Virens Technology were among the winners of the China-Scotland Business Awards last night.

Awards. The Awards have been announced and awarded on the Chinese Burns Supper held by CBBC in Edinburgh.

The companies were shortlisted for five categories. The categories included Exporter of the Year, Educational Partnership of the Year, Chinese Investor of the Year, the Award for Climate Action, and Entrepreneur of the Year.

The East Lothian-based Sunamp has been awarded Sunamp, a company based in East Lothian won the Award for Climate Action thanks to its world-class thermal storage technology, which transform the way we use energy and supply heat throughout the globe.

The Chinese Investor of the Year Award was awarded to Virens Technology, which aims to transform the industry of property management by making use of Internet of Things (IoT) sensors and radar technology to promote sustainable development. Established in 2020 with its headquarters in Hong Kong and Shenzhen, Virens Technology now has teams of engineers at Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Virens Technology won the Award for Chinese Investor of the Year

Family-owned business Glencairn Crystal, the world’s best whisky glass creator, was awarded the Award for Exporter of the Year. For more than forty years, they’ve been providing whisky producers with top-quality containers and glasses. They have 80 percent of the products they create currently being available for sale or distribution outside of the UK, which includes the growing marketplace in China.

The Award for Educational Partnership of the Year was won by the City of Glasgow College and Zhejiang Technical Institute of Economics. The award for Entrepreneur of the Year was awarded to Zhang Yuxuan, the Overseas Business Director of Henan Lanxing Power Equipment Co Ltd.
